Launch of the New KIC Center at Navi Mumbai

KIC is pleased to announce that it will launch its new learning and counseling center at Navi Mumbai at the end of June. The center will provide state-of-the-art facilities to cater to the learning and counseling needs every student. These facilities include an audio-visual classroom, counseling room, conference room, a library and a spacious working area for KIC counsellors.

JANUARY 2010

Launch of The EDSYNC - Technology Enhancing Students Overall Educational Exprience at KIC.

KIC has incorporated a highly advanced multi – purpose software, the Edsync, which has enhanced features for the efficient monitoring of each student’s progress. Each enrolled student will be provided with a log in id and password for self-assessment of sessions attended, tests completed and tutorials viewed.

KIC Pre-departure Program on 28th June 2009 at the Ramada Plaza Palm Grove Hotel, Juhu.

KIC conducted its annual pre departure program for students heading to the US for fall 2009 programs. KIC Counselling students & their parents were present for this whole day event.

In the morning session, Prof. Ganesh Kohli discussed with the students about the journey that they will be making soon to the US. Details like packing & traveling to US, life in the US, college & university experiences were provided. He shared his experiences about living & traveling in US and what the students can expect for the next couple of years while they are in US. Students then shared their experiences of the whole application process, visa interview and their experiences at KIC.
 
After the morning session, there was a common session for both parents and students. During this session, there were discussions on foreign exchange, travel & health insurance which were the main focus. We were pleased to have Weizmann Forex Ltd., our foreign exchange partner who provided valuable insights into the financial aspects on US travel & university fees using various options like currency, traveller’s cheques, etc. This was followed by a question & answer session to clear doubts & queries of the parents & students. Family members of KIC students also shared their experiences during the counselling program and how that has impacted their and their families’ lives.

Following the discussion, lunch was served for everyone. By late afternoon, the pre-departure session was over and the students & parents left wishing & greeting Prof. Ganesh Kohli & the KIC family.

In the evening session, students and parents joined us for a pre-counselling orientation session for those interested in applying for the fall 2010 semester in the US. Prof. Ganesh Kohli gave them valuable information of life in the US, application and admission process to US universities and programs and about the KIC counselling program.

We would like to thank all our KIC students and parents for being present on this special day and we wish them all the very best for the future and welcome them as a part of the KIC Alumni group.

Duquesne University Visit to Mumbai

Faculty members from the respected Donahue Graduate School of Business at Duquesne University will discuss exciting opportunities for students in a number of areas tailored to their individual goals.  These include:

  • MBA in Sustainable Management: a unique, innovative program that students can complete full-time in 12-16 months
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): a rigorous program that allows students to pursue the MBA degree either full-time or part-time

Launch of the New KIC Center at Andheri West

KIC inaugurated a new learning and counseling center at Andheri West on Sunday, April 19th, 2009.

Located in the heart of the suburb, the center provides state-of-the-art facilities for learning and counseling needs of students. These facilities include a 24-seater audio-visual classroom, counseling cum conference room, a spacious working area for the KIC team, a library and counseling room for Professor Ganesh Kohli.
The inaugural function started at 11:15 am with Mrs. Suman Kohli (Prof. Ganesh Kohli’s mother) cutting the ribbon. The function was attended by several KIC alumni parents and families of current students. Parents of our alumni nostalgically recalled their memories and thanked Prof. Ganesh Kohli for his contribution. The inauguration was followed by lunch.

We are glad to announce that the KIC Andheri center is now fully functional to provide the help to students and professionals who are considering higher education in the United States.

KIC Visa Counselling Program - 1st session at Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana on 8th February, 2009

KIC conducted the first session of its visa counselling program for fall (August) 2009 applicants and their parents/sponsors. Prof. Ganesh Kohli discussed the F1 student visa – general requirements, financial planning and documentation. This was followed by a question and answer session where parents/sponsors & students had their queries addressed by Prof. Kohli.

At the end of the session, Prof. Kohli had one on one interaction with the parents / sponsors and students.

As a token of appreciation for their hard work during the application process, KIC T-shirts were distributed to all students. The students left the venue with a smile on their faces and ready to take the final steps towards realizing their ‘American Education Dream’

The afternoon session was a pre-counselling orientation fall 2010 applicants. The session provided insights into the application procedures for admission to US colleges & universities. There was also guidance available to students on building their profile to ensure admission at top universities.

After the morning session, there was a common session for both parents and students. During this session, there were discussions on foreign exchange, travel & health insurance which were the main focus. We were pleased to have two vendors / companies & their representatives delivering presentations on these topics, Weizmann Forex Ltd. and ICICI Lombard General Insurance Ltd. The students & parents were provided with comprehensive information on the money aspect & health & travel insurance related topics. This was followed by a question & answer session to clear doubts & queries of the parents & students.

Following the discussion, lunch was served for everyone. By late afternoon, the pre-departure session was over and the students & parents left wishing & greeting Prof. Ganesh Kohli & the KIC family.

In the evening session, the first group of registered KIC-Counselling students was formally welcomed into the counselling program for fall 2009. Prof. Ganesh Kohli gave them a taste of the whole experience and gave information on the counselling program for the next year with KIC.
